Sim Racing Studio Troubleshooting

  1. Close the game and SRS, then power the platform off.
  2. Restart Windows. If an e-Break is fitted, disconnect it from the control box for this diagnostic test.
  3. Connect the controller directly to a rear motherboard USB port—do not use a hub initially. Try one known-good, short USB cable and one other USB port.
  4. Power on and check Windows Device Manager. Record whether one COM port appears (most platforms) or two appear for a 6DOF system.
  5. If a COM port appears, launch SRS and select the correct platform/port; run the SRS movement sliders with the game closed.
  6. If no COM port appears, try a different power outlet and known-good power cable. With power off and motors disconnected, inspect the motherboard LED only if comfortable opening the box and the current DOF manual permits it.
  7. If the motherboard LED is off after the documented power-button check, stop and submit a ticket to DOF Reality Technical Support here: https://dofreality.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
